Sometimes you need an energetic start to your day. With Leslie’s morning Sun Yoga/Sun Salutation structure, you will be able to start your day with a short meditation, followed by a flowing sequence of sun salutations. The Surya Namaskar, flowing sequence of sun salutations, has been practiced by yogis since ancient times. It is an integrated practice of 12 poses that brings awareness to body, mind and spirit. When practiced in a steady, rhythmic sequence it reflects the rhythms of the universe and can restore harmony and balance to our lives. The sun salutations have many physical benefits, but they also have the depth and completeness of a spiritual practice. Classes consist of a 5 minute meditation practice, followed by asana practice, using the sun salutation sequence for stretching and strengthening our bodies, while creating space and awareness and stillness inside.
